Its been a while since I went out to shoot some photos, so I am once again browsing through my archive. For today, street images taken with the Fuji Superia X-TRA 400 film.
I’ve shoot a few XTRA-400 rolls and although its not considered to be a “pro” emulsion, I always liked its saturated look. Sure, there’s evident grain but the colors are very much to my personal taste for a vivid film.
Its extra speed allowed me to shoot at low light (with the help of course of fast 1.4 lenses). At low light it gets really grainy but still love the color. I am thinking of ordering a few more rolls of this film since I really liked its look while browsing my old images. It can also look very good when converted to black and white.
The film is also available for medium format cameras, although for 6×7 and 6×9 I will probably use the fantastic new Portra 400.
